I will always remember the day I met Dr. George. I was in my 20s and a friend suggested I see him because I was going through a hard time, and he was helping her with Chinese Herbs. So I made an appointment for a consultation, and when I got there, I was a bit of a wreck. During the COVID pandemic due to intense stress I was experiencing around my work, school aged child and overall COVID chaos, I started to lose my hair. I was devastated and had no idea what to do. I called my dermatologist. After a virtual appointment, she wanted to put me on Rogaine and Finesteride. After reading about both without a proper diagnosis, I hesitated because both require lifetime use or they will stop working and the side effects were potentially quite unpleasant as well. She then suggested a wig! I cried!
A few days later she told me she got me an appointment with “the best” hair loss doctor in New York City. I looked him up. I had been dealing with a red, scaly and flaking rash for months on my arms, legs and torso with little results from prescriptions given to me by a dermatologist.
